Play Store now allows you to download several apps at the same time!

When you buy a new Android smartphone, one of the first things you do is install all your favorite applications. However, even here there was a problem. Normally we had to wait for the Google Play Store to download each application, one at a time. This can be very frustrating, especially for those who download dozens of applications during this process. So let’s look at the new feature that allows you to download various apps from the Play Store.

Play Store now allows you to download several apps at the same time!

Fortunately, it looks like Google has made this process a little faster. Thus, the Play Store is capable of downloading two applications at the same time. It’s a small change, but anything to reduce the time it takes to set up a new smartphone is a positive.

The 9to5Google website has already seen this working on several devices.

However, this is only valid for application downloads. In other words, it is not possible to make updates at the same time. A test Galaxy S23 Ultra that supports simultaneous downloads of new applications does not support simultaneous downloads of updates for existing applications. In the screenshot below, you can see how it continues to do just one application at a time:

Obviously, getting multiple app updates at once would probably be a very important update for Android, considering that not many people install multiple apps at once in addition to setting up a new phone. Still, it’s very possible that Google is taking things one step at a time and that simultaneous update downloads could be on the way soon.

Do you already have the possibility of downloading several applications at the same time on your Android phone? It’s something that’s really worth it and will speed things up when buying a smartphone. In some cases we had to wait a long time until we had everything installed.
