“He decided to stay at Bayer Leicester-kusen”

Richard Keys, one of the most popular English sports commentators, did not spare, this Sunday, his criticism of Xabi Alonso, who guaranteed that he will remain at Bayer Leverkusen, despite the approaches from clubs like Liverpool or Bayern Munich.

“These jobs will never be available again. He has an option. And there will never be a time when he is coveted to the extent he is now”, he began by stating, in statements made on the British television station beIN Sports.

“Instead of taking one of those jobs, he decided to stay at Bayer Leicester-kusen. I describe them that way because they will never have a season like the one they are having again. Where will he take them from here?” , he continued.

“I think he should have had the courage to take one of those jobs that are better than his, but he chose to play it safe. That brings me to the question of the size of his cojones. Now would be the right time, or not?” I think Liverpool got away with it,” he concluded.
