Together with João Palhinha, Andreas Pereira gave an interview to DAZN, a television station for which he revealed an interesting and hitherto unknown confession: the fact that he was one step away from Sporting. As soon as the Brazilian international revealed the revelation, the former Leo midfielder – who even motivated the comment on the subject – did not hold back in his reaction.
«It was at the time when I was included in the negotiation with Bruno [Fernandes] and there were negotiations with Sporting, but nothing came of it”, the athlete from Canary Islands contextualized, referring to a dossier relating to the 2019/20 season.
With no time to waste and in a good-humored way, Palhinha didn’t say anything: «It didn’t work. You do not know what you missed.”
Regarding a possible departure from Fulham at the end of the season, the Portuguese player highlighted commitments until the end of the season and Portugal’s subsequent participation in Euro 2024.
“I’m cool. I want to end the season in the best way possible. The Euro is coming. I want to end these games in a good way. Everything else doesn’t worry me. I am calm, stable and happy. I don’t want to be racking my brains over subjects that don’t make sense right now. I want to play football and help Fulham win these five games”, he concluded.
Teammates in cottagers, Andreas Pereira and Palhinha have been active figures in the smooth campaign of the London emblem, currently in 12th place in the Premier League. So far, Palhinha adds 35 gamesfour goals and one assist, while the South American attacking midfielder was an option in 41 occasionsscored three goals and assisted on eight others.
