Iker Muniain announced that he will stop wearing the Athletic shirt at the end of this campaign, after 15 seasons in the Basques’ first team and almost 20 years at the club.

I confess that it was the best thing in my life, but now, my love, the time has come for us to separate,” he said, in a video published this Wednesday.
Remember that it was at the beginning of this month that Muniain lifted the trophy of Copa del Rey, taking the club of his heart to the trophy he sought to recover four decades ago. The CV also has a Super Cup in 2020.
To date, he has scored 75 goals in 557 official games for Athletic’s first team, where he made his debut in 2009 at just 16 years old. He also has two caps for Spain.
