Estrela da Amadora showed what they were aiming for from the opening whistle and was constantly in search of the goal and the three points, but did not protect themselves properly, despite several warnings, and left the genius of Belloumi, an Algerian winger who stood out and guided Farense to an important 0-3 victory. On the other side of the field, Ricardo Velho also shone, once again. The fight for maintenance begins to narrow.

The day ended in Amadora, in an important duel for maintenance. On Estrela’s side, coach Sérgio Vieira maintained confidence in the same starting eleven from the last round, while José Mota, at Farense, made two changes to the starting eleven, calling Cáseres and Bruno Duarte to the places that belonged to Zé Luís and Fabrício Isidoro .

The difference in effectiveness

There was a sense of urgency in securing points in this game and this was soon apparent on the pitch, with both teams imposing an electrifying pace, one that was pleasant to watch. Estrela started out more intense – so much so that they were scoring through André Luiz, after just 2′, on a bicycle -, despite this, pressing high and trying to get the ball. Up front, André Luiz and Kikas were exchanging between themselves, Bucca was adding in the middle and Estrela was having the ball and creating chances, but Farense defended itself.

1st part was high intensity @Kapta+

On the other side, Farense, realizing this pressure and high intensity, was betting on the transition and exploring the back of the home defense, especially on the right, where Belloumi was causing damage against Mansur – Rúben Lima too high – and were also leaving constant warnings , especially in two of Estrela’s ball losses in the defensive zone – Belloumi and Rafael Barbosa were wasted.

Realizing that that pace was dangerous and impractical for much longer, Estrela tried to manage possession of the ball better and for longer and the game calmed down a bit. Farense continued to focus on the transition and had an arrow aimed at the goal in Belloumi. Furthermore, it was the Algerian winger who, in the 40th minute, did what he wanted, once again, Mansur on the right, entered the area and shot. VAR found a hand on the ball from Kialonda Gaspar and Bruno Duarte took over and successfully took the penalty. It was the party of the respectable group of Farense fans in Amadora (very well composed house).

Algerian magic

Estrela clearly needed more efficiency to get back into the game and returned with a good attitude, intense with the ball, but with the same mistake of not protecting themselves properly on their left and Belloumi, once again, continued to do damage. In the 47th minute, the Algerian wandered into the middle, took advantage of his passivity and shot across the field to make it 0-2. Estrela was in bad shape and Sérgio Vieira tried to quickly look for a reaction, before it was too late, with the entry of Aloísio, Rodrigo Pinho and Nilton Varela.

Estrela insisted on the 2nd part @Kapta+

You could feel the nervous little kid growing in the Reboleira stands and, on the field, there was a natural, even greater rush from Estrela with the ball, which energized his attack, but also gave more space to Farense’s transition. Despite this, the tricolor’s growth was notable and Sérgio Vieira’s men were pushing Farense into their area, but running into a wall called Ricardo Velho (and the goal post).

Realizing the opponent’s desperation, Farense started playing with the psychological side and tempers grew more and more as the minutes passed. Completely installed in the opponent’s midfield, Estrela da Amadora insisted with everything they had in the last 25/20 minutes, leaving the game increasingly broken and devoid of the Algarve’s quick transition. This permeability became very apparent when, in the 79th minute, Bruno Duarte took off from the left, freely, and served Marco Matias at the far post for 0-3. The three points were delivered.

Farense ended up winning precisely and moved away from the unwanted fight for maintenance, which, with three rounds to go, begins to have fewer and fewer players. Estrela is one of them and will have to be careful.
