O Paulo Fonseca’s future could involve a change of club as early as next summer. At the end of his contract with Lille, the Portuguese coach is in the sights of three clubs: West Ham, AC Milan and Marseille.
The information was revealed by the English portal iNewson Wednesday, which also recalls Paulo Fonseca’s ambition (confessed in an interview in 2022) to head to the Premier League.
With spells at FC Porto, Shakhtar and AS Roma, the 51-year-old Portuguese coach can therefore make the leap to Her Majesty’s lands through West Ham, a club that, however, continues to have Rúben Amorim as one of its favorites. .
It should be noted that Paulo Fonseca is in his second season at Lille and has, to date, accumulated 24 triumphs in 46 games, being in a direct fight for a place on the Ligue 1 podium, which will guarantee direct access to the next edition of the Champions League. At this point, Lille is in fourth place, with 55 points, just one less than Brest, who is third.
