sAccording to the Italian newspaper TuttoMercatto, specialized in football market issues, Benfica had a meeting with Raffaele Palladino, Monza coach, during the last few days. Remember that Roger Schmidt has a contract until 2026 with the Eagles.
Palladino’s contract is ending at the end of this season. The portal writes that “despite the many offers that have emerged from Series A, there could be a move abroad.”
Fiorentina and Bologna are two of the clubs interested in Palladino. The young coach had his first experience as a coach at Monza, first in the youth ranks and then in the main team. He has ten wins in 34 games this season.
As a football player, he had a long career in Serie A, with spells at Juventus, Salernitana, Parma, Genoa and Crotone. He played three times for the Italian national team. At 40, he may have his first adventure outside the country.
