This Sunday afternoon, Benfica sealed the title of national champion, triumphing in their visit to União Sportiva (51-67). In the third and decisive match, Eugénio Rodrigues’ men were authoritarian from early on, achieving an opening quarter of 13-21.

Until the break, the hosts’ reaction was timid, so the Eagles took the opportunity to extend their advantage, with a score of 12-16. Thus, at the time of the break, Benfica was winning 31-52.

From the decisive match, it is important to highlight the performances of Isabela Quevedo (18 points and 6 rebounds), Letícia Soares (8 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists) and Raphaella Monteiro (9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists).

On the other side, Luana Serranho (12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists) and Susana Carvalheira (6 points and 4 rebounds) were the most unhappy.

And so the curtain falls on the season in the top echelon of national women’s basketball. Quinta dos Lombos won the Super Cup, while Benfica won the Vítor Hugo Cup, Portuguese Cup and League.
