Daniele Orsato did not hide his emotion after calling off the game between PSG and Borussia Dortmund (0-1), which took place on Tuesday night, which saw the German team qualify for the Champions League final. The Italian referee quickly got angry as soon as he gave the final whistle and the explanation is simple: it would have been his last game in the Champions League.

Orsato, 48 years old, has extensive experience in international football and is at the end of his career and will make his final farewell at Euro’2024, a competition for which he has already been called up.

Between European and international competitions, in addition to the various levels of Italian football, Daniele Orsato has played 602 games.
