There are four Portuguese in ranking of the best coaches of the season, updated this Tuesday by the renowned English magazine Four Four Two. Abel Ferreira, leader of Palmeiras, and Ruben Amorim, new champion of Portugal, are even in the top twenty of this list which, this time, does not include José Mourinho.

A list once again led by Pep Guardiola, coach of Manchester City, followed by Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool) and, this time, with Xabi Alonso (Bayer Leverkusen) overtaking Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid) in the last place on the podium, after a sensational season in the Bundesliga (champion) and also in the Europa League.

Abel Ferreira is then the first Portuguese to appear on this list, in 13th place, behind Roberto de Zerbi (Brighton), but ahead of Thomas Tuchel (Bayern Munich). A Four Four Two compares the Palmeiras coach to the rabbits in the Duracellfor the energy he has on the bench, and highlights the way he managed to change the mentality at the São Paulo club, which allowed him to achieve almost everything there was to achieve.

Soon afterwards, in the rankingRuben Amorim, the new champion of Portugal, stands out in 16th place, with the English magazine highlighting the interest of several Premier League clubs in hiring the Sporting coach.

In addition to Rúben Amorim, there are two more coaches from the Portuguese league in this ranking of 50 coaches. Roger Schmidt, coach of Benfica, is in 33rd place, while Sérgio Conceição, leader of FC Porto, is 45th.

Returning to the Portuguese coaches, highlight also goes to Marco Silva, coach of Fulham, who is in 37th place, still ahead of Portugal’s coach, Roberto Martínez, who only appears in the penultimate position in this ranking.
