Olympiacos advances to the Conference League final

The team of Rúben Vezo, Chiquinho, João Carvalho, André Horta, Gelson Martins and Podence will face Fiorentina in their first European final

This Thursday, Olympiacos qualified for the final of a European competition for the first time, by once again beating English side Aston Villa, 2-0, in the second leg of the Conference League semi-finals.

After the 4-2 victory in Birmingham, in the first leg, the Greek team confirmed their place at home, with two goals from Ayoub El Kaabi, in the 10th minute and 78th minute.

The Piréu team, which has the Portuguese Rúben Vezo, Chiquinho, João Carvalho, André Horta, Gelson Martins and Daniel Podence in its squad, will discuss the final of the competition with the Italians of Fiorentina, who, on Wednesday, eliminated the Belgians Club Brugge in the other semi-final.

The final of the third edition of the Conference League is scheduled for May 29, at the AEK Arena, in Athens, at 8:00 pm (Lisbon time).
