Everything indicates that a considerable part of the future of the video game industry will involve a successful launch of GTA 6.
According to Mat Piscatella (analyst of Circana), Rockstar’s success will spark a “renewed interest” in video games. “There’s probably never been anything more important to release in the industry, so there’s pressure.”
In other words, we obviously have a lot at stake with the new GTA going further for the developer Rockstar and the Take-Two. This is a game that some analysts predict will end up as the best-selling game of all time, setting new records in entertainment.
It is worth remembering that GTA 5 took just three days to surpass US$1 billion in sales in 2013. However, analysts estimate thatand GTA 6 will achieve this feat in less than 24 hours, such anticipation for the launch.
Furthermore, Piscatella believes that this game will boost the sales of new generation consoles. If the rumors are true, this would represent a big advantage for Sonywith a PS5 Pro that is far superior in technical terms compared to the Xbox Series X.
Finally, it is worth remembering that GTA 6 (at least at launch) will not arrive for the PC platform. Therefore, a huge boost in sales of Sony and Microsoft consoles is expected, with potential to even frustrate the launch of the new Nintendo Switch.
