According to the latest rumors, Samsung may follow an old Apple idea for its smartwatch line.

Leaker Revegnus says that the South Korean giant wants to include a microLED screen on its Galaxy Watch.

But even though the news may make users more excited, this feature will not reach the South Korean wearables yet. According to the well-known leaker, it will only be in 2025 that we will see this type of screen on the Galaxy Watch.

The information gains even more strength if we take into account that Samsung has already launched televisions with microLED panels, for this reason, the company already has knowledge and experience in this type of screen.

In a very simplified way, the South Korean giant will have to adapt the know-how in this area to apply the same feature to a wearable that involves the use of a substantially smaller screen.

Previously released rumors suggested that Apple had suspended microLED screens for its smartwatch line as it had not yet met all the quality conditions for their use.

This could then be Samsung’s opportunity to get ahead of its most direct competitor and move forward first with the availability of a smartwatch with this type of screen.

Now for the less exciting news. Whether it’s a Galaxy Watch or an Apple Watch, the integration of a microLED screen will increase the price of the model. All because this component currently represents a higher cost than the current panels included in the brands’ wearables.

While we wait for more news, let’s remember the attributes of the Galaxy Watch6 classic.
