The WhatsApp community received several news with the launch of the new beta version of the application. This reveals that there are some promising features on the way for Android users
The revelations were made by WaBetaInfo, who were quick to alert to these new features in development. Among these we find an integrated call dialer and a new option to hide group for Communities.
WhatsApp call dialer
The highlight of this new beta version is, without a doubt, the integrated call dialer. It was spotted in beta version 2.24.9.28 for Android and this tag promises a convenient way to make calls directly through WhatsApp.
There is no need to previously save the contact in the cell phone’s contact list. Its exact implementation has not yet been disclosed, but the existence of a stand-alone dialer in the application confirms that users will be able to call unsaved contacts just by dialing the phone number.
This addition will be especially useful in situations where you don’t want to save new contacts with whom you only plan to interact once or twice. Furthermore, users will have the option of making calls via an internet connection, bypassing the need to resort to conventional telephone calls.
Hiding groups on WhatsApp
Another feature now revealed is the ability to hide groups, specially designed for communities. This new option, seen in WhatsApp beta version 2.24.9.27, is not yet available to all beta testers.
However, the font managed to activate it through some adjustments. It reveals that this setting will only allow invited members to find and join a community group.
Only community administrators will have the power to find and remove the group from the community. In other words, there is an additional level of privacy and control over community groups.
Although there is no specific date for its availability, the launch of the beta version is an indicator of what is to come in what is one of the most used applications in the world.
