Google Meet announced the release of a new feature that allows people to transfer a call from their cell phone to their computer, or vice versa, with just one click — without having to leave and re-enter an active call. A new “Use here” button identifies ongoing meetings associated with the account and makes it easier to switch between your devices.
The new feature makes it possible, for example, to follow an important call on your cell phone while you commute to work and continue the call on your computer when you arrive at your desk at the office. In addition to offering a smoother transfer, the feature prevents you from being momentarily unavailable and missing any part of the conversation.

The new tool on Google Meet reflects modern times and the need for people to always be connected, even when they need to travel and change environments during a call.
On the official blog, the company explains that “in today’s world, carrying out our work can happen in multiple locations and on multiple devices”, which justifies the feature to transfer Google Meet calls from one device to another.
According to Big Tech, the new “Use here” button began to be distributed gradually since this Wednesday (24) and has a period of 15 days to reach the public with rapid launch mode. People who have the scheduled launch configuration will receive the news between May 9th and 12th.

The company informs that no action or change in account administration is necessary to release the resource and that the new feature is available to both Google Workspace customers and those with a personal Google account.
