A rumor that began circulating in recent days gained momentum by confirming that Google is about to launch a version of the Pixel Tablet that will not come with the Charging Speaker Dock in the box. Today, a new rumor reinforces the previous one and also adds price information for the new tablet without a dock.
For consumers, the good news is that the product will cost less than the current bundle on sale. In Europe there are listings from unidentified retailers that allegedly charge €446 for the 128GB storage version and €553 with 256GB for the tablet alone.
For comparison purposes, note that the price of the current bundle, including the dock, is €679 and €779, respectively, for these two storage versions. However, the filtered prices look strange and may not include VAT, which varies widely between European Union countries.
If we add the German VAT of 19%, the resulting price would be €529 for the 128GB model and €659 for the 256GB model. Still, it’s a considerable discount for those who don’t need the dock.
The same unnamed retailers will also have listed the Bluetooth keyboard accessory, according to Droid-Life. It was priced at €89, which may or may not be the final sale price if it is also exempt from VAT.
Adding Germany’s IVIA once again would result in a final price of €105. The previously mentioned smart pen did not appear listed. But yesterday’s rumor stated that it would be the same price as the keyboard.
It remains to be seen when this new Pixel tablet will be presented and whether, like smartphones, it will officially arrive in Portugal in this new version.
