ChatGPT prepares new features for its Android app

-

The ChatGPT application for Android allows users to quickly access the OpenAI chatbot and some of its features, without having to directly use the company’s website.

And soon, the app may receive some new features. One of them is the ability to edit messages after they have been sent. This system is already available in the web version, but now it will also be accessible to anyone using the app on Android.

According to the discovery of user AssembleDebug, OpenAI is testing the new ability to edit the message after it has been sent in beta version 1.2024.115. This way, users can make small corrections to the text, in order to send a new request to OpenAI’s systems.

To use this functionality, users simply need to press and hold the message sent, and “Edit” should appear among the options. This way, users can change the messages sent without having to make a new request, writing everything from scratch.

This new feature, for now, is only available for the Beta variant of the Android app, but it is expected to reach more users in the coming days.
