As expected, Samsung is expected to launch a more affordable version of its premium line soon and factory production has already begun.
Expected to hit the market shortly after the launch of the company’s new generation of foldable smartphones, the Galaxy S24 FE has already gained model names, which help with identification for launch in each region of the world. Are they:
- SM-S721B (Global version);
- SM-S721U (USA);
- SM-S721W (Korea);
- SM-S721N (Canada).
Information about the new smartphone can be considered scarce. Stronger rumors indicate that the model must have an Exynos 2400 processor, but there is also the possibility that the model will have the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, present in the Galaxy S24 line. At this point, it is also almost confirmed that it will have some features from Galaxy AI, but it is not yet known what they would be.

In March this year, we published an article citing rumors that it should have 12 GB of RAM in all its versions, a gain of 4 GB compared to the Galaxy S23 FE. Samsung’s new smartphone should also hit the market with internal storage options of 128 GB with the UFS 3.1 standard and 256 GB with the faster UFS 4.0.
To be able to launch an affordable version, Samsung must make some changes in relation to the original Galaxy S24 line. The most anticipated changes are in the cameras: most recent rumors indicate that the main camera should be 50 MP. The screen must be a 6.7-inch AMOLED 2X, with 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.

Finally, it is certain that some changes to the housing materials must also be made, especially because Samsung needs to lower the production cost to also reduce the final price.
When should the Galaxy S24 FE be released?
If it follows tradition, the Galaxy S24 FE should be presented to the world in October. The previous model arrived in Brazil at the end of 2023 with a suggested price starting at R$3,999.
More information should emerge over the next few months, but it is certain that Samsung’s new smartphone will only arrive during the second half of 2024.
