WhatsApp tests new way of organizing messages

-

WhatsApp has been receiving some new features for testing over the last few weeks, and recently Meta’s focus has been on how to organize messages within the application.

After starting to make new filters available for conversations, WhatsApp can now make it easier to find messages from favorite contacts. According to the WABetaInfo portal, the latest Beta version of WhatsApp for Android has a new feature, where users can filter messages by their favorite contacts.

This way, only contacts that are considered “Favorites” by the user appear in the list, joining the existing filters for unread messages, groups and all.

Users should be able to select not only their favorite contacts to appear in this filter, but also groups and other conversations that interest them.

The idea will be to help you find the conversations you want more quickly, or the ones you access most regularly. At the same time, these new filters are in line with feedback from users, who over time have been demanding changes in the way messages are found.

At the moment, the new feature is only available to users of the Beta version of WhatsApp on Android, but it is expected to become available to more users soon.
