Google continues to develop its new features for Android 15, and one of them could help users who receive a lot of notifications on their devices.

According to the source code discovered in the latest version of Android, a new feature is being tested that can help reduce the hassle of multiple notifications being sent at the same time.

According to programmer Mishaal Rahman, Android 15 should have a new functionality in which, when several notifications are sent at the same time from a certain application, the system automatically reduces the device’s volume and vibration.

The idea will be to prevent the device from ringing and vibrating repeatedly due to incoming notifications. With this function active, it automatically adapts the volume based on notifications received within a period of time, gradually reducing it. The measure also applies to vibration, which becomes softer with each new notification.

Another new feature that is also associated with this configuration will be to vibrate the device only after it is unlocked. In other words, instead of the device vibrating while it is in your pocket, it will only perform this action when it is active and in use – informing the user that there are new notifications in the system to take into account.

For now, the functionality still appears to be in an early stage of development, so it is still unknown when it will officially reach users. But it is expected that it will be part of the set of new features for the final version of Android 15.

Google is preparing several new features for Android 15, and improvements to the notification system are one of the company’s focuses, which was already present in previous versions, but should be further improved for the future version of the system.
