New probe photography shows ‘spiders’ on the surface of Mars

-

A European Space Agency shared a new image of Mars captured by the Mars Express probe and which shows how the surface of the ‘Red Planet’ changes according to the seasons.

The image you can see below shows what appear to be dozens of spiders on the surface of the planet, but in fact, the black spots – which can be between 45 meters and a kilometer in diameter – result from gas that is released during the spring period. .

Naturally, images like this can help potential missions sent to Mars better understand the conditions that can be found on the planet. Especially for eventual colonization missions.
