Apparently, Samsung’s new generation of smartphones will change a lot, especially on the design side, and of course, hardware integration capable of giving new life to the artificial intelligence algorithms that are so popular in 2024.

However, on the battery side, little or nothing will change. Which is… Disappointing!

Galaxy S25 Ultra won’t improve the battery at all!

So, as you may know, Samsung has kept its flagship Ultra’s battery at 5000mAh, while also maintaining fast charging speeds over the years. Something interesting, because despite the fact that the capacity is in line with other manufacturers, Samsung remains very reluctant to increase the charging speed.

Which is probably (still) due to everything that happened a few years ago, with the Galaxy Note 7.

Having said all this, it was expected that Samsung would invest a little more in the capacity and charging speed of the Galaxy S25 batteries, especially in the Ultra model. With some rumors even pointing to the adoption of new technologies, which could revolutionize space.

However, according to everything that has reached the Internet… It’s better to get the horse out of the rain. The S25 Ultra will continue with the same 5000mAh, and the same exact technology that has given life to the most recent Galaxy S.

Do you know why? It’s not because the technology isn’t ready… In this case, stacked battery technology. It’s because changing the battery makes the device too expensive on the production side. Especially in a year when the cost of the SoC is expected to increase very significantly.

Therefore, to try to increase the efficiency, and as a consequence the autonomy of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung is testing other solutions, which is most likely related to the consumption of other components, such as the SoC and the OLED Screen. .

This raises a question… When will we see a revolution in batteries in the mobile world? This remains one of the biggest weaknesses of any smartphone or laptop!
