iOS 18 will finally be able to integrate the Calendar and Reminders apps

-

After releasing new information yesterday about the possible artificial intelligence features of iOS 18 and macOS 15, the AppleInsider is back today with details about the supposed news of two apps relatively “forgotten” by Apple: Calendar (Calendar) and the Sticky notes (Reminders).

According to the information, the two apps will finally be able to “talk” to each other, which means you will no longer need to open Reminders to register a task after creating an event in Calendar.

With the arrival of the new systems, when tapping or clicking on a day, a week or a month in the Calendar, the user will supposedly be greeted with a new pop-up menu with options to create a new event or reminder. This will take you to a new interface that will apparently allow you to add either of the two things at the same time.

Reminders created by the Calendar app will include many of the same features found in its dedicated app, such as the ability to choose a date/time for a task or set a priority level. You can also add a title, note or tag to the reminder to make it easier to find.

Additionally, any reminder created by the Calendar app can be viewed in the Reminders app, which will remain solely responsible for notifying the user of their tasks.

The Calendar app, in turn, should also gain some specific improvements to its interface. The “Today” view, for example, will feature slightly larger numbers for the hours in a day, according to people familiar with the matter.

The new systems really promise, huh?
