Arc arrives on Windows and promises to replace Chrome and Edge

After gaining huge popularity on macOS and iOS, Arc is finally released for Windows. This is an innovative browser and aims to revolutionize Internet browsing with its exclusive sidebar, focus on organization and organization tools. It’s time to evaluate Arc and replace Chrome and Edge.

The Windows version of The Browser Company's software has been in beta since December. This one wants to conquer the Microsoft system and has already chosen the door through which he will enter. For now Arc is only available for Windows 11, although a version for Windows 10 is in the works.

Despite being a direct competitor to Chrome and Edge, Arc is actually quite unique. It has a collapsible sidebar with vertical dividers and bookmarks. This gives a clear view of the websites being visited without any unnecessary clutter. It also allows you to create spaces to maintain organization, which works like folders on a workspace.

The Peek feature allows users to preview a link before opening it, and Little Arc opens a browser window to view something quickly and with minimal memory. There's a bit of a learning curve with Arc, as browsers have been used in exactly the same way for decades. Still, it's a positive experience.

It's also customizable, providing the kind of experience that isn't available from rivals. In fact, Arc allows users to customize the appearance of any website they visit. You can highlight entire sections and exclude them from view. As an added bonus, Chrome plugins work in Arc, making migration easier.

Another big new feature is the integration with Swift. In fact, Arc was created in Swift, a programming language created by Apple to develop apps for iOS, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch. So by bringing Arc to Windows, Browser Company also brings Swift to Windows for the first time.

The Browser Company promises that this is just the beginning of Arc on Windows. There will be regular performance improvements and new features “rolling out in the coming weeks and months.” In the meantime, the browser is ready to be tested and used as an alternative to Chrome and Edge.
