Xiaomi announced the launch in Brazil of its new Redmi 13C 5G cell phone. This model’s highlights are the large 90 Hz screen, the Dimensity 6100+ chip, the 50 MP camera and the 5,000 mAh battery.
A version without 5G of the device was available on the Brazilian market since last December.
Specifications of the Redmi 13C 5G cell phone
According to the official specifications released by Xiaomi, the company’s new smartphone for the Brazilian market has a 6.74-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 720 or HD+ and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
The Redmi 13C 5G cell phone is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 1600+ chip, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal storage, slot for microSD cards with up to 1 TB and 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging.
It also supports memory expansion technology that allows users to get an additional 8GB of virtual memory using part of the internal storage for a total of 16GB of RAM.
To make a comparison, the model without 5G comes with the MediaTek Helio G85 chip and is offered in versions with 128 GB and 256 GB of storage, and just 4 GB of RAM.
Cameras
Regarding the set of cameras, the Redmi 13C 5G cell phone has a 5 MP front camera and two rear cameras – the main 50 MP with f/1.8 aperture and an auxiliary QVGA.
The front camera supports recording videos in HD (720p) and Full HD (1080p) resolutions at 30 fps), and features like HDRportrait mode, beautification mode, image capture with gesture detection and more.
The rear camera supports the same resolutions and frame rate for video recording and features such as Auto HDR, portrait mode with blur adjustment, night mode, time-lapse recording and more.
Connectivity and other features
In addition to support for 5G networks, Xiaomi’s new cell phone also supports 4G LTE networks, two SIM cards, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, 3.5 mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port.
Other features of the Redmi 13C 5G cell phone include support for unlocking via facial recognition, fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and more.
The operating system is Android 13 customized with the MIUI 14 interface.
Price and availability of the Redmi 13C 5G cell phone
The Redmi 13C 5G cell phone is now available in Brazil in silver, blue and black through Xiaomi’s official online store with a suggested price of R$ 1,999.99.
