Samsung comes close behind in the ranking with a shipment of 6.7 million tablets sold. An impressive number, but 5.8% lower than in the first quarter of 2023. In third place in the ranking is Huawei, the Chinese giant saw a 43.6% growth in the number of sales with a shipment of 2.9 million.

Apple will improve the iPad line

Despite being the tablet market leader, Apple is concerned about the decline in sales. To try to reverse this, Apple is planning to renew the entire iPad line in 2024.

Apple’s main highlight this year will be the new iPad Pro with an OLED screen. In addition to a new screen, the new tablet can feature the powerful M4 chipset, with improved hardware for AI.

But even with these news, Apple still expects a drop in tablet sales. This is because the new iPad Pro may be considerably more expensive than its predecessor, which should negatively impact sales numbers.
