Still according to the delegate, the same driver already has a record of having fallen asleep at the wheel during another trip by Viação Catarinense. Other dangerous driving by the professional was also reported, having already been warned by other drivers and by the family itself.
According to Wesley, the company was unaware of the situation.
The delegate also stated that during the investigations evidence was found that the man used his cell phone while driving. Evidence was collected from a lawsuit against the driver for domestic violence.
In the evidence, the Civil Police found prints that show photos taken by him during trips. Look above.
“[Ele] he took pictures and sent them to the victim, proving that he was using them during work. We also found a brief period of four days in which there were 250 calls to victims of domestic violence, many of these calls occurred while transporting the vehicle while driving,” said the delegate.
An e-mail sent by a relative alerting to the risks was also identified. In one section, the person accuses Viação Catarinense of hiring the driver even though he did not pass the psychological test.
To the police, the company said it had not received the email.
