A 35-year-old man was arrested with drugs after fleeing a police approach on BR-259, in Aimorés, in the early hours of Saturday (2).
The police officers were patrolling the highway when they saw the motorcyclist stopped on the stretch near the Minas/Espírito Santo border. Upon noticing the presence of the police, he fled at high speed and was pursued.
According to the PM, during the chase, the man waved his hand indicating that he would not stop. He was only restrained after losing control of the wheel and falling from the vehicle.
At the time of the approach, the suspect threw a package containing crack on the other side of the wall of a company, which separates the railway line. One of the police officers had to jump over the wall to seize the drugs.
The military then searched the escape route and found a bag containing marijuana. The man told the police that he was heading from Vitória (ES) to his family home in Resplendor.
He was arrested red-handed and taken to the Governador Valadares Civil Police station.
