Friends fans were taken by surprise by the death of Matthew Perry at the age of 54, an actor who was known for his role as Chandler Bing in the sitcom’s ten seasons.

Perry’s ex-girlfriend and assistant, Kayti Edwards, spoke to The Mirror about her relationship with the Friends star and called for the reopening of the investigation into his death.
Since his Friends days, the actor has struggled with alcohol and drug addiction, as well as mental health problems. Matthew Perry was found dead in his hot tub, and an autopsy later revealed that he died due to the “acute effects” of ketamine and drowning – which is questioned by Kayti Edwards.
She thinks Perry must have gotten more ketamine on the side, stating he took 40 to 50 Vicodin a day and got it from a nurse at home. “He had a way of letting people do things for him, saying, ‘I’ll give you this amount of money if you keep your mouth shut and get me this,'” says Kayti Edwards.
In an interview with People magazine years ago, Matthew Perry confirmed that he almost died in 2018 due to excessive opioid use. As a result, he spent two weeks in a coma and five months in hospital, as well as needing to wear a colostomy bag for nine months.
