Luciano Farah Nascimento, sentenced to more than 21 years for the death of prosecutor Francisco Lins do Rêgo, in 2002, was arrested again on Saturday (16), in Nova Lima, Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte (RMBH).
The Public Prosecutor’s Office reported that the request for execution of the sentence was accepted by the Court after two trials by the Jury Court and several appeals. Farah and his security guard were sentenced to 16 years for the death of Anderson de Carvalho, a robbery suspect.

Based on Law 13,964/19, known as the “Anti-Crime Package”, which determines the immediate execution of convictions by jury with a sentence equal to or greater than 15 years, the prosecutor requested the arrest warrant.
The crime involved the murder of Anderson de Carvalho, suspected of robbing a gas station in Farah. On January 15, 2002, Carvalho was killed with 16 shots. Days later, the duo murdered prosecutor Francisco Lins do Rêgo, who was investigating irregularities at gas stations in Farah.

Lins was killed on January 25, 2002, in Belo Horizonte, while he was on his way to work. The crime happened when his truck stopped at a traffic light and a motorcycle approached, with the passenger firing more than ten shots at the prosecutor.
