The State Department of Health (SES-MG) confirmed this Tuesday (19) the 5th death caused by dengue in the south of Minas. The death is of a man who was between 30 and 39 years old and had comorbidities.
Still according to data from SES-MG, the city currently has 501 confirmed cases of the disease.
In addition to Campaign, deaths from the disease have already been confirmed in Arceburgo, Monte Belo, Nepomuceno and Santo Antônio do Amparo. There are at least another 52 deaths under investigation in the region.
Death investigated in Lambari
Lambari City Hall reported this Tuesday that it is investigating a suspected death from dengue fever. The victim was a 21-year-old woman.
According to the city’s Health Department, the young woman arrived at the Municipal Emergency Room with a diagnosis of dengue and with laboratory tests that did not indicate changes in the main parameters of the disease.
She was in the emergency room on Monday afternoon (18) for hydration with serum and as she showed stable signs she was released.
In the early hours of this Tuesday, the young woman returned to seek care with altered blood pressure. She was treated, but the condition progressed to cardiorespiratory arrest. The woman was rescued, but did not survive.
According to a note from the Department of Health, the young woman’s body was sent to the IML to identify the cause of death.
