The Judicial Police of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo are investigating two cases that may be linked to each other, although all scenarios are open, which occurred in the city of Vila Franca de Xira on the afternoon of this Tuesday, 19th of March.
A man aged around 30, residing on Rua Soeiro Pereira Gomes, appeared dead on the public road at around 4.30 pm, with his death intriguing neighbors, as well as rescue teams, who are unable to find an explanation for his death, suspecting that he may have fallen from the fifth floor of the building where he lived.
The man’s corpse would eventually be found following a robbery by robbery that occurred at the same time, to an elderly woman, who even had to receive treatment at the Vila Franca de Xira Hospital.
The PSP of Vila Franca de Xira was the first police force to arrive at the scene, and given the doubts regarding the man’s death, as the injuries suffered did not seem compatible with a fall from a height, they called the Judiciary Police, who are now investigating cases and whether or not they may be linked to each other.
