Daniella Thackray, a 25-year-old woman who lived in Leeds, a city in England, who was fighting a rare type of cancer, planned a farewell post on her social media if she was unable to recover.

Daniella began the post by explaining the type of tumor she had: “First of all, I wanted to say that not all tumors are caused by lifestyle choices, in some cases it is genetic or, unfortunately, it just happens. In my case, despite being very healthy and active, it started with bile duct cancer – which was not caused by anything under my control – and my life has never been the same. “I truly hope that in the coming years, more research will be done into this horrible and cruel disease, so that more lives can be saved. That being said, even though we can control what happens to us, we can control how we react. I choose not to mourning the life I was missing, despite being so devastated, and instead enjoying every moment I had left,” she continued in her account.

According to information from People, in contact with the Mayo Clinic, professionals stated that smoking, being at an advanced age and having diabetes can increase the risk of developing cholangiocarcinoma and explain that “it is a very difficult type of cancer to treat”, and surgery is recommended. , liver transplant, chemotherapy and palliative care.

Still in this same publication, she wrote: “As I’ve always said and believed, we should enjoy the little things in life and value every moment! Romanticize your life! Do what makes you happy and don’t let anyone take the joy of life away from you.”

In another post, Thackray had shared that he underwent a liver resection, which is the complete removal of the liver, and another gallbladder surgery eight months ago.
