On the afternoon of Monday the 18th, Ouro Preto received a visit from the Undersecretary of Productive Inclusion, Work, Employment and Income from the State Secretariat for Social Development (SEDESE), Arthur Campos and his team.

On the occasion, a partnership proposal was presented between SEDESE and the Ouro Preto City Hall, through the Municipal Secretariat for Social Development and Citizenship, to offer courses for the population in situations of social vulnerability, with priority for two groups: young people with or without qualifications and women aged 40 or over.

The project will include 8,100 places in 356 courses in the areas of tourism and culture, conducted by the National Commercial Learning Service (SENAC), throughout the state of Minas Gerais.

As a pilot project, in Ouro Preto, four short-term face-to-face courses will initially be made available, which are in the definition phase, as well as prerequisites, registration deadlines and enrollment procedures. At the meeting, it was agreed that the Social Assistance Reference Centers (CRAS) would participate in the process of attracting users to the social assistance network and also in monitoring the courses.

The meeting was extended to the City Hall auditorium, where Mayor Angelo Oswaldo greeted the SEDESE team.

The next step is to formalize the agreement and choose the spaces to carry out the training, as well as complying with the technical specifications for each course.

In addition to those mentioned, the superintendent of Professional Education, Gilmar Cota, the director of Articulation and Planning of Professional Education, Eduardo Batista, the advisor to the undersecretariat of Productive Inclusion, Work, Employment and Income, Matheus Nascimento, the secretary of Social Development were present. and Citizenship, Edvaldo Rocha, the Social Assistance manager, Luiz Gustavo de França, the director of Special Social Protection Medium Complexity, Viviane Gonçalves, and the director of Basic Social Protection, Rigeli Mapa.
