The Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the deadly attack in Moscow, which caused at least 40 deaths and 100 injuries today, news agencies AFP and EFE reported.
According to EFE, the jihadist group Islamic State claimed responsibility for the shooting in a concert hall in a shopping center on the outskirts of Moscow, through the organization’s propaganda agency, Amaq.
“Islamic State fighters attacked a large gathering of Christians in the city of Krasnogorsk, on the outskirts of the Russian capital Moscow, killing and injuring hundreds of people and causing widespread destruction there, before retreating to their bases for safety,” informed Amaq, on its Telegram channel.
This contradicts the thesis of the Ukrainian secret services, which had accused the Kremlin and its secret services of orchestrating tonight’s deadly attack, near Moscow, to blame Ukraine and justify an “escalation” of the war, as reported by AFP .
At least 40 people died and more than 100 were injured last night in an attack by armed men on a concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow, according to the initial assessment of the Russian security forces (FSB).
Russian state agency RIA Novosti reported that at least three men burst into the concert hall and fired automatic weapons. Other Russian media reported the shooting and that the place went up in flames, while civilians were evacuated with the help of special police units.
Meanwhile, former Russian President Dmitri Medvedev has already warned that Russia will “destroy” Ukrainian leaders if it is confirmed that they are responsible for the terrorist attack in a concert hall in the suburbs of Moscow, although Kiev has already distanced itself from what happened.
