ABrazilian authorities arrested, this Sunday, three suspects who allegedly ordered the murder of Brazilian councilor Marielle Franco, in March 2018.
The detainees are brothers Domingos Brazão and Chiquinho Brazão and agent Rivaldo Barbosa, who were the target of preventive arrest warrants as part of Operation Murder, Inc., launched by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), by the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ) and the Federal Police (PF), reported g1.
According to the same media outlet, Domingos Frazão is an advisor to the State Court of Auditors (TCE-RJ), while his brother is a federal deputy for União Brasil. Rivaldo Barbosa was head of the Civil Police at the time of the murder, and is currently the institution’s Communications and Police Operations coordinator.
