PF arrests suspects responsible for Marielle’s death

This Sunday, the 24th, the Federal Police arrested three suspects of being responsible for the murder of former councilor Marielle Franco (PSOL) and Anderson Gomes. They are: the advisor to the Court of Auditors of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Dee’s brother and federal deputy Domingos Brazão, Chiquinho Brazão (União Brasil), and Rivaldo Barbosa, former head of Rio’s Civil Police.

The PF released a statement about the Muder Inc. operation this Sunday. The names were given to the column by a source linked to the investigation.

Three preventive arrest warrants and 12 search and seizure warrants are being served, authorized by the Federal Supreme Court, all in the city of Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

The action is supported by the State Secretariat of Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro and the National Secretariat of Penal Policies, of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. According to the PF, the targets are the intellectual authors of the homicide crimes. The crimes of criminal organization and obstruction of justice are also investigated.

The crime completed 6 years on March 14th. The operation has made progress in recent weeks, after the approval of the plea bargain of Ronnie Lessa, arrested accused of the murder of Marielle and Anderson.
