Images and reports reveal details of the death of the young woman who had sexual intercourse with a Corinthians player

This Sunday’s Fantástico (24) had exclusive access to to the latest images of Livia Gabrielethe 19-year-old girl who died after having sexual intercourse with Dimas Cândidoformer Corinthians under-20 player. Images from security cameras also help to understand a little more about what happened that day. See the video above.

In the images, the young woman arrives in an app car at a condominium in Tatuapé, East Zone of SP, on January 30, 2024. She calls and the boy appears shortly. The two do not greet each other and pass through the entrance. Only in the elevator is it possible to see a gesture of affection. Afterwards, the image shows Livia Gabriele and Dimas going to his apartment. There are no images of what happened inside the apartment.

To the police, the player said the following:

• Who had sexual intercourse using a condom;
• Then they rested, talked and went on to have a second relationship;
• Suddenly, Livia was no longer responding and he realized that she had fainted;
• And at the time, he called Samu;
• He said that the attendant instructed him to place her on her back and massage her chest until the ambulance arrived;
• And at that moment, he noticed that Lívia was bleeding from her private parts.

The case is being investigated as a suspicious death. The cause: a “bottom break of Douglas bag with extension to the left vaginal wall”.

O Fantastic had the official reports, from the conclusion of the State Scientific Police.

Experts did not find drugs or alcohol in Livia’s blood. And there was no sperm in her body, which confirms the use of a condom. The young woman also did not have any fractures or lethal signs of violence.

Fantástico asked two experts to explain the information contained in the reports, as there are many technical terms.

“The cause of death was actually a major acute bleeding with hemorrhagic shock”, says Jairo Iavelberg, gynecologist and obstetrician.

“She had a bleed, bleeding, both internally and externally”, highlights Fabiane Vale, from the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics.

The report says that the rupture, the injury, reached five centimeters in length.

“Often this can happen without much pain and the complaint probably only started with symptoms of shock. Dizziness, tachycardia, loss of consciousness”, adds Jairo Iavelberg.

According to experts, the injury was caused by a blunt object, without specifying what it was. The experts interviewed by Fantástico opined:

“Specifically the penis against the vaginal cul-de-sac”, ponders doctor Jairo Iavelberg.

“The penis may have led to this injury. Her case was a fatality, apparently from what is appearing, from the anatomical aspect”, highlights Fabiane Vale.

“Women don’t need to worry. This is a rare condition. But if a woman experiences any bleeding during sexual intercourse, if a woman has pain during sexual intercourse, she stops, she seeks help. Go to the gynecologist to have a healthy, fulfilling sex life”, adds Fabiane.

Regarding Livia’s death, investigators are still awaiting some medical reports to find out if the young woman had any illness. The police reported that the investigation is in its final stages.

Fantástico also had access to statement from Samu’s doctor. To the police, she said:

• The ambulance was unable to enter because it was higher than the condominium’s parking lot;
• With equipment to deal with a cardiorespiratory arrest, the team walked approximately 100 meters to the player’s building;
• That one elevator was occupied and the other was broken;
• They waited for the elevator to arrive and went to the eighth floor;
• That in the apartment, he found Dimas giving Livia a heart massage, and on the phone, still with the Samu attendant;
• From then on, the team took over the emergency.

An image that Fantástico had access to shows that a rescuer went to the ambulance to get another piece of equipment. It was a manual resuscitator, used in cases of respiratory failure.

• The doctor said that the equipment the team had brought to the apartment was not working well;
• He also said that, at that moment, Livia had not presented active bleeding in any part of her body and that therefore no restraint was necessary;
• He said that the victim had two cardiorespiratory arrests in the apartment and they decided to remove her;
• That Lívia was placed on a quilt, provided by Dimas;
• When they arrived at the condominium parking lot, the rescuers brought the stretcher, which was in the ambulance;
• The doctor said the team used the quilt because the stretcher didn’t fit in the elevator.

From Dimas’s call for help to Livia’s arrival at the hospital, 51 minutes passed. She had two more cardiorespiratory arrests and ended up dying.

According to the player’s lawyer, the “reports make it clear that there was consent, that there was no violence. It is absurd for us to want to try to seek something criminal against Dimas. He was a witness to a fatality”, says Tiago Lenoir Moreira , Dimas’ lawyer.

The lawyer criticized the delay in responding to Samu. “Time was essential for the evolution of this death. It took too long. Is Samu prepared for gynecological emergency care?”

According to the lawyer, the player no longer lives in São Paulo. He was on loan to Corinthians. He had a two-year contract that would expire at the end of 2024, but, after the young woman’s death, he decided to return to the club where he started his career, Coimbra Sports, in Contagem (MG).

Dimas continues training normally and didn’t want to record with Fantástico. “He is still extremely shaken by this whole situation. There was no climate for him to play any more at Corinthians. Now he is working, taking care of his head, taking care of his body to resume his career”, adds Tiago Lenoir Moreira.

The city of São Paulo, responsible for SAMU care in the city, reported that the ambulance arrived at the entrance within 11 minutes of receiving the call. That the professionals were trapped at the entrance, which was not informed of the incident. And the use of the manual resuscitator only occurs after the first procedures, which occurred within the time provided for in the care protocol.

The city hall also said that it “regrets the lawyer’s attempt to attribute unreasonable responsibility to Samu, a fundamental service to save lives.”

Lívia Gabriele’s family preferred not to record an interview and says they are awaiting the end of the investigations.
