Carvalhos City Hall (MG) is investigating the death of a 33-year-old woman who died of suspected dengue fever over the weekend. On social media, the City Council lamented the death.

According to a note of condolence published on social media, Lucileia Lopes Campos was diagnosed with the disease last week and due to health complications, she died early Saturday night (23).

According to the city hall, the woman worked in a bakery and left behind a 7-year-old daughter. On Friday afternoon, she sought care and was taken to the reference hospital in Aiuruoca (MG) with dehydration. On the same day she was discharged and returned to the municipality. But on Saturday afternoon, she returned to seek care, was transferred once again, but could not resist and died.

The city hall also reported that materials were collected for analysis and confirmation of death due to dengue. The body of Lucileia Lopes Campos was buried this Sunday afternoon (24) in the city cemetery.

According to the SES-MG Dengue Monitoring Panel, the city has 307 confirmed cases of the disease.
