The new generation of the Ford Mustang has just debuted in Brazil in the unique GT Performance version as a more technological sports car and maintaining the revamped V8 engine with 488 hp and attributes that made the car famous over 60 years ago. It was precisely in April 1964 that the Mustang debuted in the United States and today remains the best-selling sports car in the world. The new generation has more defined lines inspired by classic models such as the Fastback from the 1960s and the Boss from 1969, especially in the front gaps.

Most powerful V8 engine

The Mustang GT Performance maintains the fourth generation Coyote V8 5.0 engine, with 488 hp and 56 kgfm of torque with a ten-speed automatic transmission with new calibration. There is a new electronic mapping, new exhaust system, throttle body and other new features. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.3 seconds.

The new Mustang promises better performance on the track and features a new MagneRide adaptive suspension with four adjustment options, an automatic pothole detection system and stabilizer bars inherited from the Mach 1, which increase torsional rigidity. The brakes are Brembo with 390mm front disc and 320mm rear disc. Exclusive 19” wheels, with Pirelli P-Zero 255/40 R19 tires at the front and 275/40 R19 at the rear, Drift Brake electronic parking brake and track features that also include Line Lock for “burn out” maneuvers , stopwatches and auxiliary meters in Track Apps.

The interior of the car has been completely redesigned and shows better assembly quality but brings a detail that is not unanimous. This new style is oriented with squarer lines and 12.4” and 13.2” screens for the instrument panel and SYNC 4 multimedia, onboard GPS, Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, induction charger and high-end B&O sound. quality.

The seventh generation Mustang is 4,811 mm long, 2,080 mm wide with rear view mirrors and 1,398 mm tall, 22 mm longer and 5 mm lower than the Mustang Mach 1 sold to date in Brazil.

The first units of the Mustang GT Performance arrive in June and the car has a single price of R$529,000 in Brazil. Among the new features, the price of the car includes the FordPass Connect app, online service scheduling, pick-up and drop-off service, 360 Guide, intelligent preventive monitoring and Ford Concierge service. The new Mustang is available in eight colors: Zadar Red, Arizona Red, Estoril Blue, Algarve Blue, Arctic White, Torres Grey, Catalunya Gray and Asturias Black.
