On Saturday (23), an incident involving an ultralight left two people wounds in Santa Rosa, RS. The pilot, aged 58, and his son, aged 25, were on a recreational flight when the aircraft crashed.
According to the State Military Fire Department, the ultralight crashed in a soybean plantation area. Despite the impact, both the pilot and passenger were found conscious, however injured. Firefighters provided first aid at the scene before taking them to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) at Hospital Vida e Saúde, in Santa Rosa.
The pilot informed firefighters that there was a failure in the aircraft’s control, resulting in loss of control. He also confirmed that he had adequate qualifications to operate the ultralight, which was later verified and confirmed.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident to determine the precise causes of the ultralight crash. So far, no additional information has been released about the victims’ health status.
