The mayor of Nova Odessa, Leitinho Schooder (PSD) suffered a serious accident
early Monday evening. The first information says that the car he was in had tried to avoid a horse on the track. The first information is that he is fine, but deputy secretary Eduardo Mota would be more injured.

Mayor Cláudio Schooder and Deputy Secretary for Development, Eduardo Mota, suffered an accident upon returning from São Paulo, around 9:15 pm this Monday.
The accident happened on Rodovia dos Bandeirantes, near Jardim Novo Horizonte, in Hortolândia.
A horse would have invaded the track in front of the vehicle they were in, which was driven by Mota.
Both have already received (or are receiving) help at the scene.
The mayor is doing well, is lucid and talking to rescuers and authorities.
Eduardo Mota’s condition is not yet clear, but it appears to be serious, according to information from the mayor himself sent via cell phone to the Secretaries of Security and Education, Carlos Fanti and José Jorge Teixeira.
