Protagonist of the series “The Bear”, Jeremy Allen White is in negotiations to play Bruce Springsteen in the cinema.

According to Variety magazine, the film is titled “Deliver Me From Nowhere” and will tell the story of the production of the album “Nebraska”, one of the most iconic of the singer’s career, released in 1982.

The production is expected to be written and directed by Scott Cooper (“The Pale Blue Eye”) and is based on the book of the same name, released in 2023 and written by Warren Zanes. The work shows Bruce Springsteen’s journey to make his sixth studio album, a collection of stripped-down, acoustic tracks that marked a new artistic direction in his career.

A different record

Originally, the recordings were just demos recorded at the singer’s home, intended to be re-recorded with the E Street Band, his backing band, but Springsteen decided to release them as is.

Many of the songs deal with dark and desolate themes, including true crime. The title track is a ballad based on the true story of a serial killer.

Despite its unusual nature, “Nebraska” received critical acclaim and is often cited as one of Springsteen’s best albums. The album also achieved commercial success, reaching number 3 on the Billboard 200 in the United States.

The production has no release date.
