Despite meat not being the main dish on the Easter menu, which could cause intense downward pressure on the beef price, the price remained stable on Wednesday (27/3) and gave a boost to livestock farmers. This is what Agrifatto’s daily bulletin assesses.

“Industries continue their negotiations at a slow pace and livestock farmers try to hold back on supply to alleviate downward pressure. São Paulo, Goiás, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul closed the day without price variations”, points out the consultancy.

At B3, prices rose, a movement that may be linked to the stability of the physical market and a possible “floor” found in prices, analyzes Agrifatto. Contracts expiring in April were traded at the end of the day at R$229.95 per arroba, an increase of 0.17% in the daily comparison.

Analysts and the retail market are betting on the first half of April for a resumption of consumption and a reaction in prices.
