Thigh and drumstick package was the item that showed the greatest variation, with the lowest price found at R$6.59 and the highest at R$11.99

A survey by Procon Anápolis, carried out on March 22, 25 and 26, revealed a variation of up to 82% in the price of meat sold in Anápolis. The values ​​of beef, pork and poultry cuts were collected in six commercial establishments, three of which were supermarket butchers and three meat shops.

When comparing prices charged in supermarket butchers, the item that showed the greatest variation was the thigh and drumstick package (82%), with the lowest price found at R$6.59 and the highest at R$11.99. Next is pork loin, which records a 77% variation, with the lowest price at R$12.99 and the highest at R$22.99.

In meat shops, rib is the cut with the greatest variation (58%), with the lowest price found at R$13.90 and the highest at R$21.99. In second place is thin pork sausage, with a variation of 27% and prices between R$22 and R$28.

According to the director of Procon Anápolis, Wilson Velasco, the research aims to help Anapolino consumers when making purchases. “In view of the financial difficulties that are plaguing the country, this research offers the population tips and strategies to save money and ensure maximum supplies for their families. So, always compare prices before making a purchase and take advantage of promotions.”
