The “Vidigueira Vinho” event starts this Friday, an initiative by the Vidigueira City Council that will continue until next Sunday, the 31st. Raquel Tavares, Los Romeros and Matias Damásio are the headliners of this edition.
The event, which has free entry, aims to promote wines from the Vidigueira wine sub-region, as well as other excellent products from the municipality and traditional gastronomy.
The initiative’s program includes a gastronomic week, show cooking, wine tasting and pairing, musical shows and exhibition/sale of agri-food/craft products.
Promoting wine from the municipality of Vidigueira, as a tourist product, promoter of economic development and disseminating the richness of traditional local cuisine is one of the main objectives of “Vidigueira Vinho”.
One of the new features of this edition is a pavilion dedicated exclusively to wines. The Wine Show is attended by more than 40 producers, mostly from Alentejo, but also with representation from the Azores, Douro, Moldova and Georgia.
The space has its own program, as explained by Rui Raposo, president of the municipality.
