The average weekly price, calculated by the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE), increased by 2% for gasoline and 1% for diesel, according to a report released this week.
According to the regulator, for the week between March 25th and 31st, the efficient price before taxes is 0.884 euros/liter for simple 95 gasoline and 0.919 euros/liter for simple diesel.
After taxes, “the efficient price is 1,799 euros/liter, for simple 95 gasoline, and 1,676 euros/liter for simple diesel,” said ERSE.
Thus, “the efficient price registered an update, compared to last week, of +2.0%, for gasoline and +1.0% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation in international prices for simple 95 gasoline in +4.7% and simple diesel by +2.1%”, he revealed.
In relation to the previous week, said ERSE, “it was found that the average selling price to the public announced on the gantries, and reported at the Balcão Único da Energia, was 2.6 cents/liter above the efficient price for that week, in the case of simple 95 gasoline, and 2.6 cents/liter, above in the case of simple diesel”, and “in percentage terms, simple 95 gasoline was advertised on the portals 1.4% above the efficient price and simple diesel was announced at 1.5% above this price.”
Regarding discounted prices, published by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG), “simple 95 gasoline and simple diesel showed a deviation from the efficient price of -1.1% and -2.8%. %, respectively”.
In absolute terms, “these estimates are, for simple 95 gasoline, at -2.0 cents/liter below, and for simple diesel, at -4.6 cents/liter below, the respective” prices.
The efficient price is an average weekly price determined by ERSE, which results from the sum of several factors: fuel prices in international reference markets and the respective maritime freight, primary logistics, including in this portion the strategic and security reserves of the System National Petroleum, the additional costs with the incorporation of biofuels and the retail component plus the respective taxes.
