Businessman causes accident, kills one and abandons R$1 million Porsche

São Paulo – Businessman Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, 24 years old, disappeared after being involved in an accident, in the early hours of this Sunday (31/3), after colliding his luxury car, valued at more than R$1 million, in the rear of another vehicle, whose driver died.

According to witnesses, Fernando was traveling at high speed along Avenida Salim Farah Maluf, in the east zone of São Paulo. It was around 2:20 am when the businessman overtook at high speed and collided his Porshe, model 2023, against the rear of the Renault Sandero owned by Ornaldo da Silva Viana, 52 years old.

The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the Civil Police, which has already identified the existence of at least two cameras that may have recorded the case. The equipment, however, is installed in businesses, closed this Sunday.

Due to the high speed, the front of the luxury car, valued at around R$1 million and which was abandoned at the scene, was completely destroyed, as was the rear of the victim’s vehicle.

Ornaldo was taken to Tatuapé Municipal Hospital, where he arrived suffering from cardiorespiratory arrest. The medical team tried to revive him, without success. He died because of “multiple traumas”, still “unspecified”, according to Civil Police records. O Metropolises found that Ornaldo was married and leaves three children.

The passenger who was with the businessman, identified as Marcus Vinícius, was taken to another hospital, also in Tatuapé. He remained hospitalized until the publication of this report. His health status was not disclosed.

Mother helped son

The businessman’s mother, Daniela Cristina de Medeiros Andrade, 45, went to the scene of the accident and told the police that she was going to take her son to Hospital São Luiz Ibirapuera, “due to the slight injury” he suffered in his mouth.

The military police went to the health unit indicated by the woman, with the intention of carrying out the breathalyzer test. At reception, however, they were informed that Fernando had not been admitted to “any hospital” in the São Luiz network.

The businessman, his mother and his lawyer were contacted by the police via telephone, but, according to official records, “the calls were not answered”.

Just like the police, the Metropolises was unable to contact the suspect or his defense. The space remains open for demonstrations.

The case has been registered, for now, as culpable homicide (without intent to kill), bodily injury and escape from the scene of an accident.
