Who is the businessman suspected of driving a Porsche that caused a fatal accident in SP

Wanted by police as suspected of causing a traffic accident that killed a 52-year-old app driver, on Sunday, 31, the businessman Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, 24, operates in the real estate and construction materials market. According to the Civil Police, he had a stake in four family companies.

O Estadão tried to contact the driver, his family and legal representatives, but did not receive any response until the last update of this report.

Among the family companies, Fernando’s name appears on the list of partners of the developer Sastre Empreendimentos Imobiliários. In addition to development, the company operates in the purchase, sale, rental and subdivision of its own properties.

The corporate structure is made up of four people, all from the same family. Founded in October 2020, the business is headquartered in the capital of São Paulo with a declared initial investment of R$430,000.

Another family company is F. Andrade, focused on the sale of materials and inputs for civil construction. It is described as a small company, also based in São Paulo. According to the police report, registered at the 30th Police District, in Tatuapé, the distributor is the owner of the Porsche Carrera involved in the accident.

Also according to the document, the perpetrator was identified as Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho at the time of the accident.

Police will investigate ‘possible error’ in driver’s escape

The collision happened at number 1,801, Avenida Salim Farah Maluf. Military Police from the 2nd Company of the 2nd Traffic Battalion were called.

According to a report made by witnesses to the Civil Police, the businessman was traveling at high speed along the avenue, which has a speed limit of 50 km/h. When overtaking, he allegedly lost control of the Porsche and crashed into the back of a white Sandero, which was being driven by app driver Ornaldo da Silva Viana.

The driver, 52 years old, was rescued with a cardiorespiratory arrest and taken to Tatuapé Hospital. He died because of “multiple traumas”.

Due to the severity of the collision, the rear of the Renault Sandero was completely destroyed, as was the front of the Porsche. The investigation is looking for security cameras that may have recorded the crash to analyze them.

Fernando would have had help from his own mother to escape the scene. In the incident report, police officers who responded to the case state that Andrade Filho’s mother attended the scene and said she would take him to Hospital São Luiz, located in Ibirapuera, south zone, to treat a wound in the mouth.

When the agents went to the hospital to do a breathalyzer test and get their version of the accident, they didn’t find either of them. The police also went to the driver’s house.

A Department of Public Safety states that “when responding to traffic incidents, the Military Police’s priority is to guarantee the rescue of victims and preserve the accident site – which was done by the PMs”, says the note.

“At the time, in addition to the fatal victim, the driver of the Porsche, initially identified as the victim, and the passenger of the vehicle also suffered injuries and were rescued. The first, by his mother, while the second was taken by a team from Samu”.

The agency also states that it will analyze the dynamics of the incident to identify any errors in operational procedures.

Andrade Filho is being investigated for “culpable homicide and negligent bodily harm while driving a motor vehicle, in addition to fleeing the scene of the accident”.
