Who is the businessman suspected of driving a Porsche that caused a fatal accident in SP

Businessman Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, aged 25, is suspected of causing a traffic accident that killed a 52-year-old app driver, on Sunday, the 31st. According to the newspaper The state of Sao Paulohe operates in the real estate and construction materials market, and would have a stake in four family companies.

Fernando is suspected of driving a Porsche, valued at more than R$1 million, which crashed into the back of a Renault Sandero, and killed the driver on an avenue in Tatuapé, East Zone of São Paulo. He fled shortly after the accident and is still wanted by the police.

Within the list of family companies, the businessman’s name appears as one of the partners of the development company Sastre Empreendimentos Imobiliários. In addition to development activities, the company is also dedicated to the purchase, sale, rental and subdivision of real estate properties.

The corporate structure is made up of four individuals, all members of the same family. Founded in October 2020, the company is headquartered in the capital of São Paulo, with a declared initial investment of R$430 thousand.

Another family business is F. Andrade, specialized in the sale of materials and supplies for construction. It is a company classified as small, also based in São Paulo. As recorded in the police report, the company is the owner of the Porsche Carrera involved in the accident.

According to the newspaper The globe, Fernando Filho was born in 1999 and is currently enrolled in the engineering course at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. His father, Fernando Sastre de Andrade, is also a partner in at least three other companies in the construction sector, such as the Irmãos Andrade materials store, located in Parque Paineiras, and Comércio de Ferro e Material Para Construção F. Andrade.

How and where the accident occurred

The rear-end collision occurred around 2am on Sunday, on Avenida Salim Farah Maluf, in the capital of São Paulo. Witnesses informed the Civil Police that the 25-year-old businessman, who was driving the Porsche, was traveling at high speed along the road, which has a limit of 50 km/h, and when overtaking, he lost control.

At that moment, he would have hit the back of the Sandero, driven by an app driver. The driver of the Renault was taken to Tatuapé Hospital after a cardiorespiratory arrest. He died from “multiple trauma”.

The 22-year-old passenger of the Porsche was also injured and was taken to São Luiz Hospital, where he remains under treatment.

Driver fled

Military police officers who responded to the case informed the Civil Police that Andrade Filho’s mother arrived at the scene and said she would take her son to Hospital São Luiz, located in Ibirapuera, to treat a wound in the mouth.

When the agents went to the hospital to do a breathalyzer test and get their version of the accident, they didn’t find either of them.

In a note to Earth, the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) reported that the priority in cases of traffic accidents is to guarantee the rescue of victims and preserve the accident site — which was done by the PMs. Police officers also searched the suspect’s residence, but he was not found. The suspect’s defense was not located.

Who are the victims

The driver of the Sandero who died after the collision is Ornaldo da Silva Viana, 52 years old. He worked as an app driver in São Paulo.

Another boy, who occupied the passenger seat, is 22 years old, and was taken to São Luiz Hospital, where he remains under treatment. His health status is unknown.

Record

According to the Public Security Secretariat, Andrade Filho is being investigated for “manslaughter and culpable bodily harm while driving a motor vehicle, in addition to fleeing the scene of the accident.”
